Family Medicine, Rebuilt Around Trust and Time
Dr. Simon Kabututwa, MD, brings more than 17 years of medical experience and a deeply personal commitment to caring for others. Growing up in Uganda, East Africa, he witnessed firsthand the profound impact that limited access to healthcare can have on individuals, families, and communities. Those early experiences inspired his journey into medicine and continue to shape his approach to patient care today. As a Christian, he strives to follow the example of Christ, the Great Physician, by caring for each person with compassion, empathy, dignity, and without judgment.
Dr. Kabututwa earned his medical degree from Makerere University School of Medicine and completed his Family Medicine residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. He is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

WHAT OUR PATIENTS SAY
“From the moment we walked in, Arise Family Medicine felt different. The staff actually listens, appointments start on time, and our whole family — kids included — sees the same provider who knows our history. Being able to message through the patient portal and do quick telehealth follow-ups has made managing my blood pressure so much easier. We finally feel like we have a true medical home in Denton.”
